Nancy Ragonese, based in Aiken, South Carolina, is a passionate advocate for sustainable tourism and community development. A graduate of the University of South Carolina with a degree in Business Administration, Nancy began her career in marketing before founding Palmetto Pathways in 2010. This nonprofit has revitalized Aiken’s local economy through initiatives like the “Harvest to Market” festival and “Ride Aiken” equestrian program.

Deeply rooted in her hometown’s equestrian and conservation traditions, Nancy volunteers with the SPCA Albrecht Center and the Aiken Land Conservancy. She is also an avid equestrian, gardener, and photographer. Married to her high school sweetheart, Michael, she lives on a family farm with their children, Emma and Jackson, and a spirited rescue dog, Willow.

Recognized with awards such as the Aiken Chamber of Commerce Community Leadership Award, Nancy is guided by her motto, “Grow where you are planted,” as she continues to champion Aiken’s unique culture and sustainable growth.
